ARRI ZEISS 24mm STANDARD SPEED MKII MACRO T2.1 ARRIFLEX PL

The ARRI ZEISS Standard Speed MKII primes are serious industry players over the last 45 years and still even today.

They are small, lightweight and sharp (but not overly sharp compared to modern lenses) and have great contrast. They are fast too at T2.1

The Macro variants of the Arriflex Standard Speed MKII primes are real winners and we love them! Standard Speed MKII Macro lenses are used regularly on some of the biggest commercials, we know this because we’ve used them ourselves!

Roger Deakins talks about these lenses on his forum, and said: ”I often shoot with standard 2.1 Zeiss lenses wide open. You need to watch for those annoying flares off a highlight or a point source but they are otherwise excellent lenses.”
