The Scorpion XL high speed cine robot has the longest arm reach of all of our cinema robots. The Scorpion XL has a maximum camera height of 17ft (5.2m) and a maximum reach of 11ft (3.3m). The maximum camera payload is a hefty 44lb (20kg) and the XL features a lightening fast camera movement speed of 30ft (9.7m) per second! Such an enormous reach allows for unrivaled creativity and flexibility in capturing shots that look out-of-this-world, both in the studio and on location. We have a mobile three phase power generator that can power the Scorpion XL in almost any location environment.

The Scorpion XL is quite literally reaching new heights, with over 17ft of vertical travel, this allows for precision camera movement of 17ft from the lowest position to the skies! Such a huge amount of precision camera movement and at lightening fast speeds really does unleash a huge amount of creative scope for DP’s, directors and creatives.
